15 Bank of America branches closing in six states this month

This month, Bank of America will be shutting down 15 branches across six states.

The bank has been closing branches in recent years as more customers do their banking online

The branches being closed are located in California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Virginia

All banks are federally mandated to report any closures to the Office of the Comptroller of Currency at least 90 days before they take place.

Bank of America has been encouraging customers to use its online and mobile banking services

Additionally, the bank has been making investments in cutting-edge technology in order to strengthen its digital product and service offerings.

At the moment, Bank of America operates something in the neighborhood of 4,300 branches all over the United States.

The closures are part of the bank's ongoing efforts to streamline its operations and cut costs
